The Bellevue School Board is moving forward with the search process for the next District Superintendent. In April, Human Resources Capitol (HRC) was chosen by the school board to lead the research. The first step for the HRC will be to determine what qualities the Bellevue community wants in its next headteacher. This list of qualities, or leadership profile, can only be developed with input from our students, staff and families. This leadership profile is central to the selection and interview process.
Human Resources Capitol will contact administrators, staff, and BSD community members directly from specific school districts in all cultures and organizations. To ensure broad student, family, and staff participation, information for all groups is listed below with a strong encouragement to join.
The HRC focus groups will be a virtual Zoom meeting, with a limited number of participants, which will take place over a period of 30 minutes. HRC has created Affinity Spaces for the following groups and hope families can attend one of the sessions listed below.
In addition to the focus groups, families will also have the opportunity to provide feedback via an online survey which will be launched later in mid-June and available through June 30.
What are focus groups and why should I join?
Focus groups bring together a small number of people in a guided discussion on a specific topic to get their feedback. This series of focus groups on finding superintendents is led by the board-hired recruiting firm, Human Enterprises Capitol (HRC). Participants have the opportunity to share their thoughts on the attributes and qualities they would like to see in a new superintendent during the 30-minute online format.
